Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from chiropractic billing and front desk teams about the JRC Billing Tools dashboards.

What kind of file am I buying?

You are buying a downloadable dashboard file — a single HTML file that opens directly in Chrome or Edge. No installation, no software to update, no app store. You download it once and it lives on your office computer.

Is this an app or cloud software?

No. These are downloadable local-use tools. They open in your browser from your own computer. Nothing is hosted in the cloud. No login. No monthly account. You own the file.

How is patient data handled? What about HIPAA?

Data entered into the dashboards is stored locally on your device's browser storage. JRC Billing Tools does not receive, host, view, or store any patient information you enter. You are responsible for device security, user permissions, access controls, backups, and your office's HIPAA compliance practices.

Is this HIPAA-certified software?

No. These tools are designed for internal workflow tracking. They are not certified EHR or billing software. Offices are responsible for their own organizational locally storedguards, device encryption, and access controls when working with patient-related information.

Can I use this on a shared or public computer?

We do not recommend using these dashboards on shared or public computers. Use only on secure, office-controlled devices that meet your internal privacy and security policies. The dashboards include a password lock screen to prevent unauthorized access on the device.

Does the password lock protect my data?

Yes. Each dashboard includes a password lock screen that session times out after 15 minutes of inactivity. You set the password on first use. The password is stored only on your device. JRC Billing Tools never sees or has access to your password or data.

Can I get updates?

Yes. Bundle buyers can be added to an update list through Captivation Hub. When new versions are released, you'll receive an email with download instructions. For single-dashboard buyers, updates are available separately. The dashboard is designed so your data persists even when you replace the HTML file with a new version.

What happens to my data when I update the dashboard?

Your data is stored separately from the dashboard file itself. When you download an updated version, drop the new HTML file into the same folder — your data is already there. Nothing to re-enter. For single-file buyers, use the Export function to back up your data as a JSON file before updating, then import it into the new version.

Can these dashboards be customized for my office?

Limited office customization is available through the Office Setup Waitlist. This may include pre-loading your staff names, attorney contacts, workers' comp carriers, payer lists, and office branding. Office Setup is a separate service — join the waitlist to be notified when spots open.

Can the dashboard connect to ChiroSpring, ChiroTouch, or Office Ally?

Not automatically. The dashboards are standalone tools. Some versions include CSV export. Direct integration with billing software is not currently offered. The dashboards are designed to run alongside your billing software as a workflow and risk intelligence layer.

What if I accidentally delete data?

Use the Export / Backup function in each dashboard regularly to save a JSON backup file to your computer. This is your data safety net. JRC Billing Tools cannot recover lost data — local storage depends entirely on your device and browser.

Which browser do I use?

Chrome or Edge. The dashboards are tested and optimized for both. Safari and Firefox should also work but are not the primary test targets. Do not use Internet Explorer.

HIPAA / PHI Notice: JRC Billing Tools dashboards are designed for internal workflow and operational tracking. Data entered into downloadable dashboard files is stored locally on the user's own device/browser and is not transmitted to, stored by, or hosted on JRC Billing Tools servers. Users are responsible for maintaining their own HIPAA compliance policies, secure devices, user permissions, backups, encryption, and organizational safeguards when working with patient-related information or PHI.
